This morning, Sunday 3rd June 2012, I went to visit the 3 Harbours Arts Festival. The 3 harbours are Prestonpans, Cockenzie and Port Seton, in Scotland, for those of you who would not know. Then I came home and read that the weekly challenge was to be a photo taken today. It might be June but east Lothian was very cold, more like February. I have missed taking a photo in Prestonpans, but I like these skies and I think the colours show that the day was indeed “chilly for June”. And I bought an amazing necklace from Ali Ferguson of the Purple Thread Shed in Roslin, and took its photo five minutes ago before publishing the post.

I never know what will take my fancy, but have learnt to go for it when I see something I like – the chance is unlikely to return.

To me now – I loved it and spent ages trying to think to whom I could give it – eventually remembered I was allowed to buy stuff for myself! Artist who created it is Ali Ferguson

If you had asked me on Saturday – Will you be wearing and old watch and key on a chain round your neck? I would not have known what you could be talking about… The unexpected is maybe part of the pleasure I am having in it… glad you like the photo

I came to Edinburgh over 20 years ago. It never ceases to delight in so many ways. Next week I cross the pond again and will be in RI for a few months enjoying there but missing Edinburgh. Can’t be everywhere! I am going to look at rocks and water even more closely thanks to you…
